-  Maybe he would just like to enjoy one more year of his amateur
career and have another shot at national honors (Hobey).  And since
he is getting an education while playing the sport he loves, maybe
it's not so bad that he is hanging around for another year or two.

While Spehar is a very good offensive player, he could stand to learn
a little bit more about how to play a good defense also.  Too
everyone who thinks that teaching him some defensive skills would
dilute his offensive capabilities, this could only make him a better
player, for the team, and for himself.  Spehar won't have much of an
impact on the leauge until he learns defensive skills and how much of
a factor these skills are in a college game as compared to the high school
level.
