Here's my opinion on Northern Michigan moving to the CCHA...
I am disappointed. The Northern games up here at Michigan Tech are a big
thing and I will be sorry not to have them anymore.  BUT, I hope MTU does
not follow them. This past year, I went to the WI games in Madison, the
UMD games in Duluth, and the Northern games, as well as the WCHA playoffs
in Milwaukee. All of them were within a 5 hour drive from Tech.  If we move
to the CCHA, only Northern and LSSU will be that close. The playoffs are in
Detroit which is a ten hour drive (Michigan is a big state when you have to
go around those pesky lakes!). So let's hope MTU sticks with their current
thinking and doesn't follow.
