I was just listening to KFAN in Mpls and they had the coach on
stating that the board at Mankato St. has just approved the move to
Division I hockey as an independent.  They will make an application
to the WCHA as soon as possible for admission into the league.
 
Most likely they will play the bulk of their games against ECAC and
Hockey East next year because they have more non-conference games
available to play.
 
I'm sure that you'll read more about it soon.  And if anyone out
there is reading this in southern MN, Congratulations!  It's good to
see another DI program in the state.
