This was a question that came up for me a few years ago, when
I took an Ice Hockey Coaching class here at the Univ.

Then assistant coach Bill Butters was teaching the class and
I had *no* idea whether I should shoot left or right. (I am
right handed, but also ambidexterous.)

Bill's advice was to "try it both ways and see what *felt* right"
If I remember correctly, I shot with my left hand on the top of the
stick and right hand down on the shaft of the stick.

I think it was good advice, and I wasn't the only person in the
class that needed to try this!
