O.K., it was Division III, but it was still my first NCAA playoff game as
Wisconsin-Superior beat Wisconsin-Stevens Point 5-2 at Wessman Arena last
night, to win the series 2 games to none.  Goalie Dave Graichen played a
very good game, giving up a goal late in the first on a good shot, and
one in the second in a scramble in front of the net, where he had already
stopped the puck about 4 times.  Superior got a hat trick from #18
(Sorry, I have only gone to one Superior game, so I don't have the names
down, and they didn't have them on the jerseys) which was completed on an
empty net goal in the final minute.
 
I also must say, with no disrespect intended, that I really can see the
difference between Div I and Div III.  The game was sort of like a high
school game.  Lots of turnovers, lots of missed passes, that, even the
Bulldogs could have made. ;)  But seriously, it was a lot of fun, and I
hope the Yellowjackets go out and do well in Vermont.
