DU advanced to the WCHA Final Five tonight by swepting Michigan Tech.
The score Sat. night was 5-2 after a 5-4 OT victory Friday.  Angelo Ricci
had another strong game for the Pioneers adding 2 more goals to his
hat-trick Friday night.  It was a typical Mich Tech kind of game  --
grab & hold / grind-it-out in the corners.  Both goalies (Wallinheimo
and Caravaggio) had solid games.  Denver was quicker around the net which
was the difference in the series.  Mich Tech opened the scoring in the
first period but Denver came back with 3 goals to lead 3-1 after 2
periods.  DU pushed the lead to 4-1 before Tech got a late power play
goal with their goalie pulled.  Kenaday recorded an open net goal with
about 1:30 to play.  Eric Anderson and Mike Naylor also scored for the
Pioneers.
 
 
GO DU!!!  An All-Colorado Final would be fun.
