Bowling Green defeated Northeastern 7-4 to take third place in the
Badger Showdown Thursday evening.
 
Brian Holzinger again led the way for the Falcons, with 2 goals and 3
assists. Also scoring for BG were Fair, Glantz, Punchard, Williams and
brother Brad Holzinger. Bob Petrie got the win for BG.
 
Tom Parlon had a pair for the Huskies. He had 4 goals in the tourney
(and now has seven on the season). Jean-Francois Aube missed the game
because of the flu. Todd Reynolds took the loss.
 
NU was 0-8 on the power play, with a short-hander. BG was 2 for 5. Both
teams had some 5-on-3 time.
 
The Falcons put 21 shots on goal in the second and netted 4 to pull
away from the Huskies.
 
Brian Holzinger had 5 goals and 3 assists in the tournament to stretch
his nation-leading scoring total (41 points).
