While on the subject of the noisemakers and the RPI freakout.....
 
Back in 83-85, someone already posted the scores of those games and they were
indeed not even as close as the lop-sided scores indicated. And I seem to recall
the reason for the hand clappers in 86 was because teams refused to allow
themselves to be scheduled for the freakout game. (too much noise) I remember
hearing that St.Lawrence in particular wouldn't show up if those horns ever
appeared again. Although how a league enforces such restrictions I have no idea.
 
Speaking of those horns, is there a Harvard alum. out there that knows what the
Bright Arena did with all the horns they confiscated from RPI fans back in the
83 ECAC first round playoffs. I want mine back....
 
I have to admit - it was pretty intimidating listening to 5400 people blowing a
cow horn in a small building. Geez but I loved it.
