U.S. TRIUMPHS
Twin brothers Chris and Peter Ferraro combined for seven points as the United
States routed Japan 12-2 in Gavle, Sweden, for its first victory in three games
 in the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Brian Rolston of Lake Superior
State had three goals and two assists.
