Has anyone considered a possibility unforeseen by the rules but
perhaps more equitable -- the games are called losses for Maine
but ties for P.C.  This is admittedly awkward and illogical but
such an outcome seems more fair than what is happening now.  Yes,
I know three points disappear into thin air, but somehow this
seems less important than P.C. getting home ice undeservedly.
