From Brian Morris:
>Dave Langevin was a member of the victorious 1980 Lake Place Olympic team.
I don't believe Langevin was ever a member of any Olympic team. I took
a glance at his record this morning. He was drafted by the Islanders
in 1974, played 2 years at Minn-Duluth, 3 for Edmonton in the WHA then
was re-claimed by the Islanders at the time of the merge, playing for
all four Stanley Cup championship teams (1980-83) and a few years after
that.
He spent the entire 1979-80 season with New York.
Brian - Maybe you're thinking of Ken Morrow. I didn't look Morrow up,
but he was a member of the 1980 gold medal team and I think he joined
the Islanders in time for the 1980 cup (as well as the next 3). He
was also a solid defensive defenseman for New York through the early
to mid-1980s.
