sixth, 9 pts. vs. OSU for fifth, and 13 pts. vs. MSU for fourth).

Taylor adds to FSU records: Ferris State senior left wing Rod Taylor had a
power play goal Saturday to give him 34 goals on the year and 70 for his
career. Taylor also has 18 man-advantage goals (Paul Lowden held the FSU
record for goals in a season - 32; and power play goals in a year - 16).

UIC's Dunlap one-point from 100: Flames senior Dominic Dunlap had a goal and
two assists vs. Bowling Green to raise his career totals to 54 goals and 45
assists for 99 points.

Flames' Mangino turns aside the Falcons: UIC netminder Gary Mangino recorded
both UIC wins over Bowling Green (the first ever sweep by UIC over the Falcons)
while stopping 67 of 72 BGSU shots (.931).

Michigan's Shields blanks FSU "even-strength": Wolverine freshman goaltender
Steve Shields allowed just three goals (all on the power play) while making 54
saves (.947 save percentage) in Michigan's sweep at Ferris State.

WMU's Wilkinson records 175th victory: Western Michigan Head Coach Bill
Wilkinson, in his ninth year in Kalamazoo, with two wins this past weekend

WMU records first win at Munn since 1979: Saturday night's 8-1 Bronco win at
Munn Arena in East Lansing was the first for Western Michigan since an 8-6 win
on October 20, 1979. That was also the last time a Bronco squad scored eight

they recorded their first ever weekend sweep of Michigan State, while also
moving into fourth place in the CCHA standings.

Laurie and Ward step forward for the Broncos: Junior goalie Rob Laurie has
compiled a 2-0-0 mark in his last three appearances with a 2.22 goals against
