This is something Ryan Stone has had serious gripes with all year and I have
to agree with him. It seems that by this time the officials ought to know who
is responsible for which line. Of course, my opinion of Noeth as an official
is not very high. Though he had a fairly decent game this time around, last
time was a travesty. He is certainly one of the poorest officials I've seen
this year. And his skating is probably THE worst of all the officials I've
watched.

I have to disagree just a bit on this one. I don't think anyone should be
surprised that this game ended in a tie.

They are especially good at hitting, something RPI is sorely lacking this
year.

Yes, it was Puppa. That is Derek Puppa, despite the announcers blunder when
he said, "Now playing goal for RPI, #30 Darren Puppa". I guess he got a bit
caught up in the good old days. For those of you who don't know, Derek is
Darren's brother (Darren is now playing for the Buffalo Sabres).

Again, I don't think anyone ought to be surprised that RPI tied this game.
First of all, UAH had nothing to lose and everything to gain in this game.
Secondly, I've been told by some of the players that RPI has simply not been
clicking in practice or in games. For all those in the stands during the last
two weeks, this has been quite apparent. Therefore, I'm sure Buddy was trying
out a few different things in these two games to see if he could get his team
back into the flow of things. Coach Powers also gave Tim Carvel his first
starting opportunity this year. Unfortunately, Tim got hurt halfway through
the second period on a power play and allowed UAH to score, I believe, their
third goal. It appeared like he pulled a groin muscle, though I can't be
certain. Anyway, Mike Tamburro came in and finished up the game, allowing two
goals. (BTW, Tamburro has the marks of a high quality goaltender) The sad
thing about this game is that most of the fans didn't understand the real
significance of this game and their was a rather loud chorus of boos at the
end of the overtime period. It sort of upset me to hear people booing our team
when they need every bit of support they can get right now.
