No folks, that is NOT a typo.

Well, naturally, I couldn't of been more happy with the outcome of tonight's
game between the UAA Seawolves and the Northern Michigan Wildcats.

I will not be giving the detailed write-ups as I did last year due to lack of
time on my part. But, I will try and write up a little something about each
game. My apologies, in that not only did I not have a program, but I
didn't get the official scoring sheet either...and I missed some of the
names. :( If you really want them, send me mail, and I'll get them from
the paper for ya!

Goals for UAA scored by: Goals for N. Michigan scored by:
        Martin Bakula #44 Dan ?
Mark Stitt - SH Kory Karlander
        Jack Kowal Greg Hadden
        Martin Bakula #44 Dan ?
Paul Williams # 4 Jeff Simpson
        Randy Muise - PP
        Kevin Brown
        Paul Williams

UAA got on the board first in the order of 13 seconds into the game when
defensmen Martin Bakula scored his first of two for the night. Less then
two minutes later, the Seawolves scored again with a short handed goal from
Mark Stitt. N. Michigan finished out the scoring for the period with a goal
from #44, Dan ?.

UAA went up 3-1 eight seconds into the second period with a goal from Freshmen
Jack Kowal, who incidently, is from Anchorage. UAA then survived 45 seconds
or so of 5-3 play. However, later in the period, N. Michigan tied the game
up with goals from Kory Karlander and Greg Hadden. Shortly before the period
ended, Martin Bakula put away the puck for a second time, but it was followed
immediately by a second goal from NMU's #44 Dan (sure would be nice if I knew
the guy's last name, eh? :)

In the third, UAA came out storming, and scored three unanswered goals from
Paul Williams, Randy Muise, and Kevin Brown, before NMU starting goaltender
(#29?) was pulled in favor of #30. However, shortly there after, Paul
Williams of UAA scored his second of the night to finish out Anchorage's
scoring, and NMU's Jeff Simpson put away the final goal to close out the
game at 8-5, UAA.

Well, I don't think that anybody really knew what to expect coming into
this series, but I can't say that I honestly expected what happened...not
that I am complaining... ;-) I look forward to tomorrow's game, though
other then knowing that it will be another Seawolf sellout (6421), I'm not
really sure what to expect.
