       Bob Mancini took over as New Head coach, and all our assistants
        remained the same.  Bob started off the practice season, with a
        midnight madness practice session on sunday night, monday morning.
        practice started at 12:01 AM monday, the earliest allowed by the
         NC$#.   It was open to the public and the areana gave away tickets
         to the first game as prizes.  Hockey-l list members Dave and Linda
         Fredrickson's month old son Zachery won 2 tickets to the game!
 
         We have 2 new tech hockey fans here on Hockey-l,  Dave and Linda's
         new son, and My new Daughter, Sarah, born on Sept 17th.  I'm back
         from 2 weeks off with Sarah and Momma, both doing well, so I'll keep
         you a little more up to date on MTU Hockey now.
 
         Plans are already in the works this year to travel to see some of you.
         I will be in minneapolis the week before the season for a class, and
         Carol and Erik have set some things for us to do then, no hockey, but
         We will hit the minn vs MSU football game in the dome sat night!
 
         Steve Christopher and his son from NMU will join my wife and I here on
         Nov 13th and We will join them at NMU on Oct 14th.  Carol, Erik, Paula
           from Minn and possibly Garrett Lanzy will be joining us here for
            the MTU MINN series at winter Carnival Jan 29-30.  And a possible
            trip for us to minneapolis on  Nov 27-28, hinges on the State
            High school football finals, If we go we will be in The Pontiac
            Silver Dome instead. (Lakes are currently 5-0, outscoring opponents
            210-26)
 
         If there is anyone out there interested in coming to MTU this season,
         we welcome you.  Let me know when, and we will set something up.
 
         Looking forward to a great hockey season, and getting together with
          Hockey-l members from different sites makes it all the more fun!
