Comment: Shields becomes the winningest goaltender in CCHA history
with win #68 in regular-season conference play (68-12-8). Playing
in his third game of the season, sophomore John Arnold recorded his
first two goals and received three stitches to the chin. As Don
Cherry might say, "Way-ta-go, Johnny boy!"

ACHA report...

Friday Eastern Michigan 5 MICHIGAN-DEARBORN 4
Saturday EASTERN MICHIGAN 2 Michigan-Dearborn 2

EMU picked up three points this weekend from the University of
Michigan-Dearborn (Crying) Wolves. UM-D shed so many tears, I
couldn't tell if I was at a wedding or a hockey game. Saturday
night featured 98 minutes in penalties, 44 of which came before the
start of the game. UM-D doesn't appreciate having their opponent
tap their goal pipes prior to the game, and will stop at nothing to
prevent it. But, the Crying Wolves have an interested habit of
their own. After every UM-D goal, the five skaters on the ice
converge near the opponents' crease, form a rugby style huddle,
then dance and celebrate until they "accidently" run into the
goaltender. Sportsmanship at it finest.

The Eagles stand at 14-5-1 and are off until next semester.
