Local agent Brian Lawton reports that former Gopher Brian Bonin has
signed a contract with Pittsburgh that will pay him $400,000 if he makes
it with the Penguins and $100,000 if he winds up in the minors. Lawton
also is talking contract with Phoenix, San Jose and Boston for
free-agent local hockey player Joe Dziedzic
 
Former Gophers defenseman Ben Clymer has signed a contract to play with
the Seattle Junior team in the Western Hockey League. He will be a free
agent if the Boston Bruins, who drafted him in the second round a year
ago, don't sign him by June 1 next year. But look for the Bruins to sign
Clymer in the near future.
