Personally, I don't have a problem with a school dropping a sport to comply
with Title IX.
 
As for the football debate, I'm not going to argue that football loses
money.  What I will say is that football eats scholarships.  At schools like
Ohio State (where, of course, football the only sport buckeye fans feel
obligated to attend), football has 60+ scholarships.  That's excessive.
 
As for OSU and compliance...Ohio State is very close to compliance with
Title IX.  If, however, one thinks that all OSU is doing is adding women's
sports without other sports being affected, one should think again.
