You've got St. Lawrence and the Nanooks (Alaska Fairbanks) in there
mistakenly, although some people here are convinced we play better on
the road. Until we were clobbered by the Wolverines we were shown as
better on the road thanks to early wins at Michigan State and Western
Michigan.

I've often wondered though why some teams are better than the norm on
the road or below it at home. I'm not convinced they are the same from
year to year, although Miami, Denver, Princeton and Brown are repeats
from last year. Colorado College was on the list last year if not this
year. I've got to look back to check the previous years.

Anchorage was truly dreadful on the road last year, but has a new coach
this year. Perhaps that is enough to change their fortunes or at least
the way they deal with the games. Is Talafous' style of play what has
made the difference for them? The other WCHA teams are having more
success in Sullivan Arena this year as well.

New Hampshire I truly don't understand. Five of their six losses are at
home (Vermont, Colgate, Boston University, Clarkson, Mass-Lowell). They
have one road loss at Boston University.

Just what does it take to be successful on the road? Any opinions?

Eric
