This is great for hockey in general -- but I'm trying to figure out why New
Jersey is so far ahead of the curve when compared to Pennsylvania and
Southern
 New York. >>

I've got no hard facts on this, but I am under the impression that South
Jersey has more rinks than the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. All and
all, Princeton is the only college playing Division I in the area. Of course
Pennsylvania has produced in the past, Mike Richter being the most notable
example.

P.S. - I convinced my neighbors that they had to see the Princeton-Vermont
game. We're bringing all our kids, so try and keep the obscene chants to a
minimum, or we'll be forced to takeour kids to NHL games where we only need
to explain the fighting.
