We had somebody in the office who knows somebody who matched 4 of the 6 Ohio
Lotto numbers, thereby winning something like $1000. Naturally that brought
about a discussion of what we'd do if we ever hit the whole thing.

One of my co-workers is a *rabid* Ohio State alum. In fact, he was the
equipment manager of the 1968 national championship team. His stated goal
would be to attend every OSU (oops, excuse me, tOSU) football game, home and
away, bowls and all, for life. Picking up on that, another sports fan, this
time of the Cleveland Indians, expressed that same desire for his beloved
Indians.

That got me thinking. There was a big deal one or two years ago about two
guys who went to every major league baseball stadium to take in a game, and
did it in one month; something like 28 stadiums in 31 days. I guess my dream
would be to visit every Div I team's home ice for a game. With the
independents and all, there are now ... what? ... 50 teams? Since CC's arena
is still not open, that means 49 rinks, plus maybe a few alternate homes,
like Minnesota's Target Center, the Joe Louis Arena, and Bradley Center in
Milwaukee.

That'd be neat; getting a little hockey pin and program, maybe even a warm-up
puck from each team. To what extent has that been done? Can anybody out
there claim to have been to 30 different Div I teams' home arenas? Given the
schedules, I don't think it could be done in one hockey year (but, with the
odd Thursday games or exhibition games against Canadian schools or visiting
foreign national teams, it may be!)

Gee, this is three threads I'm starting, all in one night. So let's hear
from you!
