The Whittemore Center at UNH truley is unbelievable. There is not
one bad seat in the house and the place truly rocks. THere are no
walkways in front of the seats, as the concourse goes around the top of
the building. When you walk into the building you must walk down to your
seats, as you enter at the top of the building.
The students are seated in both ends of the arena making it even more
difficult onthe opposing goalie, and the students seats well there not
benches, are molded seats with no backs to them, while the rest of the
rink has the individual seats with backs.
There are 4 concession stands, 4 womens rooms, and 2 mens rooms, and
there was no waiting in line for the restrooms. The concession people
where a little slow but thats to be expected.
The place is truly awesome though to be completed in only 13 months.
Reading the morning paper up here in NH, both teams where saying how loud
it was, and that they enjoyed the open ice alot more than a small rink.
The only complaint was do to how hot it was in the building the ice got a
little soft and slow.
I know as a student here after not playing at "home" for a year all of
us were really excited about this game, and there was no way that we were
going to let BU get out of here with a W.
    The arena also has 14 luxury boxex, 7 with 6 seats,and 7 with 8
seats, at the old snively end of the building. This aren is truly
unbelievable as almost everyone there will say.
One more note the students found very interesting, we started lining
up to get in at about 4:45 to get choice seats, at about 5:30 the BU bus
came, with a crowd there the entrance for this visiting team is directly
under the area where the students enter. The students showed no mercy
immedialty staring in on the BU team as they unloaded the bus to enter
the Whittemore Center.
