All this talk about a four team tournament is interesting, but I see one big
monkey-wrench that would ruin the simplicity of it all:  The Conference
Tournament!
 
As has often happened in the past, the regular season champ and tournament
champ are two different teams - who would go then?
 
Disliking the conference tournament concept to begin with, I would urge that
the regular season winner go, but as Mike M. pointed out, that would eliminate
any participation by the Independants.
 
With the above in mind, it seems that the 12 team NC$$ Tournament is not all
that bad.  It has its flaws, but it is better than the alternatives.
