ECAC DIVISION III WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY ALL-STARS ANNOUNCED;
THREE ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY PLAYERS EARN ALL-STAR STATUS
 
Centerville, Mass. -- Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Women's
Ice Hockey Champion St. Lawrence University has place three top players on this
year's ECAC All-Star team including Co-Player of the Year PAM SEABORN and
Rookie of the Year WENDY HALL. Colby's SHAWN GAGER ties Seaborn for Player of
the Year, while Bowdoin's ERIN MILLER earns top goalie honors. The ECAC player
of the Year award will be presented at the New England Hockey Writers Banquet
April 9 at the Somerville City Club.
 
St. Lawrence capped its season with a win over Rockester Institute of
Technology (4-2) for the ECAC Division III Championship. Seaborn (Manotick,
Ontario), a defenseman for the Saints, was instrumental in that win, and has
totaled seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points on the year to earn her spot
as a defenseman on the ECAC All-Star team and Co-Player of the Year.
 
Sharing Player of the Year honors with Seaborn is Colby's Gager. A senior
from Manchester, Mass., she was the key goaltender for the White Mules,
posting a 3.26 GAA and a .888 save percentage. Colby finished 4-11 in ECAC
play.
 
The ECAC Rookie of the Year award goes to St. Lawrence's WENDY HALL
(Southborough, Mass.). Hall finished the season with 13 goals and eight
assists for 21 points.
 
ECAC Goalie of the Year, senior ERIN MILLER (Swampscott, Mass.) of Bowdoin,
helped her team to a 5-6 ECAC record by allowing 28 goals, having 311 saves
and a .917 save percentage. Miller also posted a 2.96 goals against average.
 
The ECAC Division III All-Star forwards include Bowdoin junior CAROL THOMAS
(York, Maine) who totaled 24 points on the year, junior LAURIE ODDEN
(Watertown, Conn.) of Middlebury College and sophomore MICHELE AMIDON
(Portland, Conn.) who led the way in points for the Saints with 12 goals
and 18 assists. Amidon also finished atop the ECAC standings in total points.
 
Two defensemen were also selected to the 1992 ECAC Division III Women's Ice
Hockey All-Star team including senior HEATHER HAMILTON (Avon, Conn.) from
Colby who had five goals and three assists on the year, and junior JILL
CONNORS (Canton, Mass.) of Rochester Institute of Technology. Connors totaled
three goals and one assist in the Tiger's 4-9-1 season.
