Here's a story about Troy's one-night-stand lady ice-conditioner (I don't know
if it's true but it's cute) --
Some time last year, someone important commended RPI's great liberal-minded
equally-opportunistic nature, having a woman driving the zamboni. It turns
out, it was not a woman, but a man with shoulder-length hair (he really doesn't
look like a woman, not even from the stands). I guess the Fieldhouse accepted
the praise without comment.
HOWEVER, at some well-publicized game, either on TV or attended by important
local dignitaries or the Queen or someone, I looked out on to the ice between
periods- lo and behold, a Fieldhouse-face-saving woman on the zamboni!
Extraordinary!
Thus RPI was dragged, kicking and screaming, into the 90's, if for only one
night. :)
