I have to say that the idea of a popular "picking games" is very
interesting. I certainly think that something like that would
be fun to participate in and follow the results, et al. I've asked
Steve to send me a ballot or whatever he uses.
 
HOWEVER, I do not feel that this would be appropriate for posting
on Hockey-L. I would suggest to Steve that he keep this a personal
email thing between him and whomever choses to be involved.
 
The fact that only 10 people out of ~450 list members voted for it,
indicated that it was not overwhelmingly wanted by the list as a whole.
 
The problem with this is it presents an atmosphere condusive to
a great deal of flaming, woofing and baiting. Hockey-L has been
noticably devoid of those characterisitcs for the most part, a
and I consider that an asset.
