Erin Whitten, a UNH alumna, recorded her second professional win
this Saturday.

Erin became the first woman ever to START a professional hockey
(regular season) game.

I believe Erin's Toledo Storm were playing the Huntington Blizzard.

Erin got shelled in the game. She gave up 10 goals in the entire
game and 5 in the second period but the Storm beat Huntington,
11-10.

Erin is now the first: American woman to play a pro game,
woman to win a game and woman to start a game.

Hopefully, she'll become the first woman to: lead her team to
a championship and make the NHL. (hey, ya never know. :)

Although she played badly, she can take some solace in the fact
that Toledo coach Chris McSorley had enough confidence in her
to leave her in the whole game, especially after the rough
second period.
