CC beat denver 4-3 in overtime with peter geronazzo scoring the winner
on a breakaway. After a scoreless 1st period, the pioneers scored on
a shot through ryan bach's 5 hole about 3 minutes into the 2nd stanza.
Kent Fearns evened it up from the top of the left circle about midway
through. RJ Enga got the goahead goal for the tigers by breaking
around a forward playing back on a 2 on 2 and getting an open pass.
Jum paradise scored on a flurry with about 3 left in the 2nd. In the
3rd, DU got two goals to even the score. I thought CC by and large
out played denver. Linesman tim hartje (also air force's assistant
coach) had an outstanding evening. Greg shephard and tom goddard
called a game that was dominated by hockey and a pleasure to watch.
Neither team scored on power play (there were about 5 penalties, and
no meeting of the clan after the whistle.

Tomorrow night, the WCHA championship will be determined as Minnesota
visits St. Cloud and CC hosts DU. Minnesota and CC are still tied for
the lead going into tomorrow's contest. CC holds the tiebreaker edge,
having beaten the gophers earlier in the season.
