ECAC Player of the Week
Janna Dewer, Cornell
Senior, Forward (Regina, Saskatchewan)
Dewer scored half of the Big Red's goals in back-to-back 4-1 wins
over Princeton and Yale to help Cornell out to 2-0 league start. She
scored two goals in each of the season-opening victories.
ECAC Rookie of the Week
Kiirsten Suurkask, Harvard
Forward (Delta, British Columbia)
Suurkask helped Harvard to a co-championship at the All-American
Tournament in Minnesota with seven goals and three assists for 10 points
in three games. A four-goal, one assist performance in 9-1 win over
Augsburg highlighted her weekend.
Heaton/ECAC Goaltender of the Week
Alanna Hayes, Cornell
Junior (Rochester, New York)
Hayes helped Cornell to a 2-0 start in league play with a
back-to-back 4-1 wins over Yale and Princeton. She turned aside 20 shots
in the win against Yale and 21 in the victory over Princeton.
