According to the Boston Globe, 5 Harvard hockey players were injured
Sunday night when their car was struck by another. The two guys in
the front seat, Brad Konik and (name forgotten: McLaughlin?) were
hurt badly enough not to play in the Beanpot opener. Konik has a
stiff neck, and the other guy had facial laceration (ouch).
The three players in the back: Storey, Higdon, and (name forgotten)
all played Monday night.
For you Bostonians and Cantabs, the accident happened at the JFK/Mem
Drive intersection. I HATE that intersection, it's quite dangerous,
and the locals navigate it with their usual insane disregard for live
and limb (*your* life and *your* limb, of course.)
I don't know how long the two injured players are to sit out. Konik,
at least, is a significant performer on the Crimson squad. Speaking
as one with complete and utter loathing for Harvard, I wish them well
and a speedy return.
