On the subject of the recent poll reported by Carol White:
 
I saw the poll in the paper here as well.  And it certainly doesn't surprise
me.  Down here in the desert, the game of hockey is practically non-existant.
The most we get are the NHL and IHL box scores (we have the Phoenix Roadrunners
 franchise here).  Therefore this discussion list is a god-send for me.
Unfortunatly, I am not able to contribute too much to the list.
 
I suppose it all depends on where the poll was taken.  If the Star-Tribune
(Mpls.) had conducted the poll, it probably would have been very different.
 
Incidentally, I'm going to my first IHL game ever tomorrow (and my first
hockey game in over 10 months).  It seems rather strange to go to a hockey
game when its 80 degrees out, but I think I can handle it.
