I forgot about this until now.  The hot rumor making the rounds
    last night at BU was actually in answer to my question about
    whether it would be more difficult for Notre Dame to get into
    the CCHA now that Kent has been invited.  This rumor is:
 
    Notre Dame and RPI into Hockey East as its 9th and 10th members.
 
    Yet to be confirmed in any way by anybody important, but it may
    give someone food for thought.  The RPI portion has been kicking
    around for seven years now, but this is the first time I've heard
    Notre Dame mentioned.  Any comments?
