The Princeton Tigers defeated RPI 5-3 friday night, in a hotly contested,
hard fought game. The teams traded power-play goals in the first period,
with both teams missing several chances to score. The second period was
better played, with both teams scoring a pair. The Tigers started the
third period flat, but RPI could not take advantage. Midway through the
final period, Princeton scored to go up 4-3 and then held off RPI to win
the game. RPI had several chances to knot the game in the last few minutes,
including one shot that went through Fiander and hit the top bar of the goal,
but they could not convert. Princeton scored an empty-net goal with a few
seconds left to make the final margin 5-3.

The Tigers were without leading scorer Terry Morris, who broke his hand
against Clarkson the week before. He was listed as 50/50 going into the
game, but he did not suit up. I do not expect him to play against Union
tonight. RPI captain Stephan Robatille (sic) was helped off the ice with
2:30 left in second, but he did return to play in the third. I believe
his injury was to his hand or wrist.
