attendance represents sold seats, actual bodies in the building was
well less than half that amount. We had a minor snow (under 6 inches)
and our TV stations went into their normal panic mode and told
everybody to stay home.  As a group, they make chicken little look
like a laid back kinda guy. Actually, once i busted through the drifts
on my cul-de-sac it wasn't bad.  the roads were snowpacked, but no big
deal.  it was nice to not have the usual rush hour slowdown because
all the californians (no offense marge) stayed home.

The other tidbit is that referee Randy Schmidt apparently had a "fun"
time getting here. His flight was diverted to grand junction and he
was told to be at the airport at 4:00 AM and didn't get here until
about 1:00. Coaches and captains were, of course, cautioned not to
sass him.

Chris Peluso spent a lot of time in the box. There is a Joe McGrath
line that the snider ones may recall.

the coincidentals at 9:10 of the 3rd deserve mention. The CC goalie
was going to the bench for an extra skater, and a pass was deflected
and hit him in the back of the leg just before he reached the bench.
sigh.
