Clarkson followed up their best effort of the year (last weekend vs UVM)
with another of their best efforts, a 3-1 win over Colgate.

Clarkson got on the board first when Craig Conroy picked the puck off
a Colgate defensemen's stick and flipped it past Colgate goalie Jason
Gates. Marko Tuomainen tipped a Patrice Robitaille pass past Gates for
a PPG and a 2-0 lead. Colgate made it 2-1 late in the secon period.
After a defensive giveway, a Colgate player lifted one over Clarkson
goalie Jason Currie's shoulder. However, Tuomainen iced the game when
he put a rocket past Gates, just as a power play was ending in the third
period.

Currie stopped 15 shots in the 1st period, including 4 breakaways. Currie
made 36 saves for the whole game. Gates stopped 25.

Currie was definitely the first star of the game. One of Colgate's defensemen,
whose name eludes me (I'm sure that helps you guys a lot :) played very
well. Knight freshman D Adam Wiesel played one of his best games of the
season and got the 3rd star. No one was really impressive offensively.
I'm sure some will think Tuomainen deserves a star for his pair of goals.
He did actually play moderately well, so I'll give him a third star with
Wiesel too.

Clarkson takes its 4 game unbeaten streak into tommorow night's game
against Cornell. I believe Clarkson has a 7 game unbeaten streak against
...actually that should be a 5 game (3-0-2) unbeaten streak against the
Big Red, in the regular season.
