Yes, and it is worthy to note that Coach Mason has reached the 500, 600,
and 650 win plateaus in fewer games than any other college hockey coach
in NC$$ history.
 
Also, Ron Mason is the "winningest college hockey coach in NC$$ history"
only, and not in all of North America. This distinction belongs to former
UofAlberta coach Clare Drake who notched 697 wins in 28 years (with a
697-295-38 record).
 
However, with 684 wins under his belt and 20 regular season games to go,
its conceivable that Mason in this, his 28th year of coaching college
hockey, will vie for Drake's all-time win record.
