Here are the All American Women's Intercollegiate Ice Hockey Tournament game
summaries from The Star Tribune. The tournament includes four varsity teams
from the Ivy League and four club teams from Minnesota. I don't think you can
trust the summaries too much, as I've corrected several apparent errors.

Friday's games (from the Saturday paper):

Minnesota Thoroughbreds (Under-18 All-Star Team) 10 Yale 0

Carissa Zaban, a junior at Glenbrook high school in Illinois, had a hat trick
and Melisa Heitzman, who is a junior at Bloomington jefferson, added two goals
as the Minnesota Thoroughbreds beat Yale, 10-0, Friday night at Mariucci Arena
in the All-American Women's Intercollegiate Ice Hockey Tournament. Goalie Tara
Joosten, a Blaine senior, stopped nine shots for the shutout. Jaime Degriselle,
Dani Alm, Winny Brodt, Gina Houser and Colleen Tierney also scored.

Brown 12, Gophers 0

Freshman Danielle Solari, sophomore Suzanne Fisher and senior Chie Chie Sakuma
scored two goals apiece as the Bears beat Minnesota at Mariucci Arena. Freshman
goalie Trish Fagan of Bloomington stopped 50 shots for Minnesota.

Harvard 6, Minnesota-Duluth 1

Sophomore Stacy Kellogg and senior Jo-anne Alissi scored two goals apiece as the
Crimson defeated the Huskies [sic] at St. Cloud's National Hockey Center.
Harvard goalie Erin Villotte stopped 34 shots.

Dartmouth 11, St. Cloud State 2

Senior Gretchen Ulion scored four times and sophomore Sarah Howald added two
goals as the Big Green won at the National Hockey Center. Sophomore Michelle
Erickson, who attended Minneapolis Southwest, also scored for Dartmouth.

Saturday's Games (from Sunday paper):

Yale 4 Minnesota 1

Lauren Schlesinger and Maral McAdams had one goal and one assist apiece as Yale
beat the Gophers 4-1 on Saturday on the second day of the All American Women's
Intercollegiate Ice Hockey Tournament at Mariucci Arena.

Yale took a 1-0 lead on Courtney Granville's goal at 52 seconds of the second
period. The Gophers tied the score on a power-play goal by Jen Vaubel at 4:04,
but Yale took the lead for good on Rosemarie Roberts' goal at 9:12. Gophers
goalie Julie Ramirez made 31 saves, but Minnesota had only four shots on goal.

Brown 6 Minnesota Thoroughbreds 3

Nicole Haakenson and Danielle Solari scored two goals apiece as Brown advanced
to today's 1:30 p.m. championship game against Harvard. The Thoroughbreds'
goals came from Carissa Zaban, Melisa Heitzman, and Dani Alm.

Harvard 12 St. Cloud St. 0

Allison Mleczko socred four times and Diana Clark added three goals and three
assists as the Crimson defeated the Huskies. Harvard's Jo-anne Alissi, Stacy
Kellogg and Priscilla Mleczko had four points apiece.

Dartmouth 4, Minnesota-Duluth 2

Sarah Howald and Michelle Erickson scored tie-breaking, second period goals,
lifting the Big Green over the Bulldogs. Minnesota-Duluth's Shawna Davidson,
who has three goals in the tournament, scored twice n the opening period.
(Note that this would be all three goals Minn-Duluth has scored in the tourney
so far! Shawna Davidson played varsity hockey at UNH and is now a trainer at
St. Scholastica in Duluth and plays for the Minn-Duluth club team. - PJS)

Sunday's game (from Monday paper):

First Place: Havard 3, Brown 2 (2OT)

Stacy Kellogg scored with 3 seconds left in the second overtime Sunday to give
Harvard a 3-2 victory over Brown in the All American Women's Intercollegiate Ice
Hockey Tournament at Mariucci Arena.

Harvard (3-0 in the tournament) led 2-0 after two periods on goals by Francie
Walton and Allison Mleczko.

Danielle Solari of Brown (2-1) scored twice in the third period.

Kellogg scored the winning goal off a scramble in front of Brown goalie Kate
Presbrey.

Third Place: Dartmouth 6, Minnesota Thoroughbreds 1
