Okay, a little late, but you wanted details so here they are.

I'll start off and say that the first 10-15 minutes of the game were really
and I mean really sloppy. Both teams looked unsure of themselves and could
not establish tempo or rhythm.

After some real physical play in the first 15 minutes, there was little to
mention in terms of scoring, except that BU had some chances, and it
seemed like all the chances were on BU's side.

The game was taken out of a scoreless tie when Tim Regan took a feed from
Bryan Richardson and put the puck above the glove of Derek Herlofsky for
a 1-0 RPI lead.

After that, RPI took over the 2nd period. RPI came out and played the most
physical that I have seen them in a long time.

BU went on the power play when Craig Hamelin took an elbowing minor. The
penalty killing unit of Askew and Pasco took over. The forechecking led to
Askew breking in with Pasco 2 on 1. Pasco tied up the defensemen Brennan,
and this caused a screen in front of Herlofsky, and Askew wristed it by
him for the 2-0 lead.

Forechecking and backchecking played the key roles here. RPI stood up the BU
forwards at the blue line, and took the puck away when the Terriers had it in
the zone.

The finest 2nd period I have seen in a long time.

BU cut the lead to 2-1 when Jenkins took a feed from Pratt out of the right
corner and put it right through Neil Little. This followed a previous
shot from the opposite side of Little by Bill Pierce where Pierce got stoned by Little.

RPI came back and made it 3-1 when Brick took a beautiful feed from Richardson
at the right boards. The tip in between Herlofsky's legs was a needed goal
for RPI as BU had started to take control in terms of physical\ play and
puck control.

1:30 later, majic stole the puck at the blue line on Brennan's clearing
attempt and put the puck past Herlofsky for a 4-1 lead.

BU tried coming back, and did when Brennan threw the puck in front of
Neil Little, had the puck bounce off of Pandolfo, and get kicked in by Chris
Kiley.

BU had the domination in control and physical prescence throughout the 3rd
period, but Neil Little was a wall.

The final score turned out to be 4-2.

P.S. For all of you that tried to stop up and say hi, sorry about the stringent
security system :) Thanks for the effort, maybe next time in Albany\:)

Some other observations:

1) BU's defensemen were non-existant from the 2nd period on. Even though they
held a considerable size advantage over the forwards of RPI, where were they?

2) Little was spectacular, especially on the odd-mans and the breaks.

3) Large RPI contigent, very surprising.

4) Ice surface was really wet. Noticed tht the zamboni went over the surface
more than once.

5) Didn't get to go the San Francisco Noodle House, Damn!!

WRPI's Three Stars ( Awarded to RPI players ONLY)

1: Neil Little
2: Kelly Askew
3: Bryan Richardson
HM: Cam Cuthbert

See everyone up in Potsdam.
