Bowling Green defeated Toronto Friday night, 12-1. Chad Ackerman
scored the first goal of this season in all of college hockey
at 7:11 pm ET. BG's Brian Holzinger had the first goal last year,
but he could only manage an assist on the first goal this season.

The score was tied at 1 early in the second, but the Falcons added
four to make it 5-1 after two. Seven goals in less than 11 minutes
in the third finished off the scoring.

Ackerman, a sophomore defenseman, had another goal and 2 assists.
Sophmore wingers Jason Helbing, Mike Hall and Jamie Williams also
scored twice. Freshman winger Mike Johnson had 5 assists.

BG managed 50 shots on net and gave up 19. Will Clarke and Bob
Petrie shared the duties in goal for the Falcons.

Toronto plays at OSU tonight (Saturday). In the other CCHA/Canadian
match up last night, Werstern Michigan beat Waterloo 10-1.
