Good day all,

Someone wrote a quote fomr hockey news stating that 26% of players in the
NHL are from college? Someone else found this hard to believe? If I am
following this correctly, to confirm the 26% issue, we only need look at
the current Boston Bruins roster:

Ted Donato
Steve Heinze
Don Sweeney
Bryan Smolinski
Cam Stewart
Joe Juneau
Adam Oates
Steve Leach
John Blue

I hope I didn't leave anyone off? Paul Stanton?

Anyway, if you figure that a typical NHL team has three lines and two goalies
and usually dresses a total of 18 players for a game, the Bruins are at or
above 50%, if Stanton is a college player. he's local, so I should know about
him? These players all play regularly for the B's, and looking around the
league you'd find others who play regularly that could easily make up the
26%.

Regards,
Jeff
