The early signing dates for hockey recruits are Nov. 10-17.  The Gophers have a
commitment from Jason Godbout, Brent's brother, and hope to also sign Mike
Crowley of Bloomington Jefferson and Joe Pankratz, who played with the St. Paul
Vulcans last year. Steve DeBus, an outstanding goalie from Rochester Mayo, is
enrolled at Minnesota but is a proposition 48 student and is not eligible this
season.

Jefferson was undefeated last year as they repeated as State champions, and the
Gophers have 2 freshmen from that team this year.  Crowley was chosen in the NHL
draft last summer, so I'm sure the Gophers want to sign him (if he'll stay in
college!)
