Gopher notes from an article in today's Star Tribune by John Gilbert, Staff
Writer.

Gophers update:
If Scott Bell is sufficiently healed from a bruised ankle he will join Jed
Fiebelkorn and Bobby Dustin on a line...Jeff Callinan will start in goal
<tonight>...Craig Johnson (12-13=25 points) centers Jeff Nielsen (11-13=24)
and John Brill (5-5=10) are on the top line, with Brian Bonin (9-11=20)center-
ing Darby Hendrickson (6-7=13) and Justin McHugh (8-7=15) on the second line...
The Gophers rank eighth in penalty killing, and lead the WCHA in power play
scoring (27.6%).

Wildcats update:
Greg Hadden (13-7=20) and Mike Harding (9-10=19) pace the scoring, and Joe
Frederick (7-6=13) is third in goals despite having played in only a third of
the games...freshman Paul Taylor reinforces the goaltending wilth sophomore
mainstay Corwin Saurdiff and Rob Kruhlak...The Wildcats have won six
consecutive WCHA games at home, but are 1-7-1 on the road.

Also, the University is moving their mainframe computers this weekend, so the
earliest you might see a game report from me will be late on Tuesday or
sometime on Wednesday. (Monday is a University holiday too!)

Looking forward to TONS of mail on Tuesday....

p.s. Steve C. at NMU...feel free to file your report from the telecast! ;-)
