The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for December 16, 1992:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
Maine once again takes the top spot by a comfortable margin (even though the
Black Bears lost a first-place vote this week), but a minor shake-up
occurred at #2, as Lake Superior was bumped out of the runner-up spot for
the first time in seven weeks.
More proof that you can play for a split on the road but you'd better win at
home: Wisconsin traveled to Denver last weekend and came away with a win
and a loss. The Badgers proceeded to move up a spot in this week's poll,
while the Pioneers dropped four.

Here's a composite listing of the HOCKEY-L, Times-Union, and WMEB polls,
along with TCHCR and RPICH (without Army). Like the Times-Union poll, WMEB
is a Top 10 poll which lists "others receiving votes", so I've stretched it
to a Top 15 using those other teams as well. I may also start including
CHODR in the composite, although goal-scoring plays a much larger role in
CHODR than in TCHCR and RPICH (plus I'd have to find room for another entry
on the chart below :-)

In honor of the debuts of the "official" TCHCR and RPICH, this week's Tad-
poll comes in two flavors, original (media polls only) and extra spicy
(polls plus rating systems). Tossing in TCHCR and RPICH makes some vewwy
intewesting things happen...

Veteran HOCKEY-Lers will remember last year's "pissed-off-at-the-guy-from-
Bowling-Green" story, which started with some reactions to RPI's low place-
ment in TCHCR. At this point, the leading candidate for this year's version
of the story is Wisconsin -- #7 in the polls, #23 (ouch!) in TCHCR. (And
#17 in RPICH, so TCHCR isn't standing alone on this... then again, the WCHA
teams are hampered a bit in the rating systems, as their only connection
with the rest of Division I so far has been four losses to Alaska-Anchorage
and a win over Air Force)
Glen Keeney has been putting together a table showing the progression of
teams week by week in the HOCKEY-L poll, and his first compilation is below
