Tonights paper has an article and update on Hugh's injury. Hugh's Hip
apparently took the brunt of the hit on the goal post, which never came off
the mooring when he hit it in Saturday's MTU St Cloud game. By the Time
trainer Chris Ipson got to him, he couldn't feel or move his legs. But 1/2
hour after arriving at the hospital he began wiggling his toes and an hour
later had full movement of his legs. Both Ipson and Coach Bob Mancini remained
in St Cloud with Hugh. Some numbness returned sunday night, but was only
temporary. X-rays reported nothing unusual, so a cat scan was scheduled for
this morning.

I talked with assistant coach Ken Martel this morning (Hugh is our Ice link
player thru the blue line club, needless to say it was a scary weekend), and
he said Hugh could be released this afternoon if all goes well.

I just got off the phone with Hugh's roommate Darren Brkic (decided to check
one more time before mailing this), and he reports that Hugh's CAT scan
was good and that he was released at 2pm and was heading home with Trainer
 Ipson and coach Mancini!

Thanks to all who sent private mail wishing Hugh good luck, it looks like
all our prayers were answered this time! ;-)
