If, as someone mentioned, the coaches must select their 5 shoot-out
competitors BEFORE game time, are allowances made if a player is injured
during the game, or is disqualifed due to a penalty?  Also, wouldn't coaches
prefer to make their selections after the overtime has expired? After all,
they could use the night's experience to judge which players have the
hot hands and have better luck beating that particular goalie.
