Most exciting players I've seen -
(heavily influenced by 10+ years of watching mostly CCHA teams)

1. Danton Cole, Michigan State University. He was a short guy, but a fast
skater that scored a lot of exciting, key goals. He was a lot of fun to
watch short-handed because he was a constant breakaway threat.

2. Paul Ysebaert, Bowling Green. What a play-maker! He'd squirt up the
ice like a combination of The Flash and Mikhail Barryshnikov on his end-to-end
rushes, finishing off with dizzying passes and brilliant scores. The
flashiest player I've seen in college hockey in the past 10 years.

3. Shawn Heaphy, Michigan State. The Little Big Man. A short player who
played like a guy half a foot taller - great checks, great skating, good
passing, great scoring, and tons of heart. What more could you want from
a hockey player, except maybe to keep his name out of the blotter!

4. John Markell, Bowling Green. Anyone remember him? Flashy center during
Ron Mason's Bowling Green glory years.
