The Marquette Mining Journal carried the following information on three
new recruits to the NMU hockey program.

Dean Seymour, 5-11, 180-lb center from Sakatoon, Saskatchewan. He's
playing with the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey
League. Last year he scored 52 vgoals and 44 assists for 96 points in
65 games.

Shayne Tomlinson, 6-1, 195-lb defenseman from Hlland Landing, Ontario.
He's playing for Stratford Culliton of the Midwestern Junior B Hockey
League, and is coached by former Wildcat Deni Flannigan.

Steffon Walby, 6-1, 190-lb right wing from Madison, Wisconsin. He's
playing for the Kelowna Spartans of the British Columbia Junior Hockey
League. In 20 games this season he has scored 18 goals and 28 assists
for 46 points.

"I think we have made three excellent additions to our program," said
coach Rick Comley. "We've added some size, and I think they'r allvery
capable of coming and helping our program as freshmen.

"Seymour is a hard working player who posses an excellen shot and is
good around the net," Comley said. "Tomlinson is an aggressive,
physical defenseman who has excellent puck handling skills and should
make an immediate impact. . . . and Walby is a strong, powerful winger
who has soft hands and skates well. He should provide an offensive
impact on the team next year."
