The UAA Seawolves did NOT like losing their game Friday. After suffering
their first loss of the season last night, the young Seawolves adjusted
quite well, and rebounded for a solid win.

UAA got off to a good start at 4:55 into the first period when Paul
Williams popped the puck up and over Mike Sparrow from about ten feet out.
A couple of minutes before the end of the first, the defensive line of
Petri Tuomisto and Martin Bakula (assist) combined to send the puck
in from the top of the left circle. UAA dominated the period and it
showed, as they had 17 shots on net to the Eagles' 3.

In the second period, Boston College looked a little bit better. They
killed off a couple of penalties, but then could not capitalize when they
had three consecutive minutes of power play with one minute of that being
5-3. They did however pick up a short handed goal at 15:43 when Rob
Canavan picked up the puck on a break away at the blue line. Gravistin
went down on the left side actually a good ways out of the crease forcing
Canavan to skate all the way to the right of the net, and he just barely
popped it in before skating by.

At 1:15 into the third Mitch Keen of the Seawolves scored a crowd pleasing
shot when he whipped the puck 180 around without even having time to look
and it squeezed in between Sparrow and the goal post. Jim Tobin scored his
first goal of the season when he crashed the net, and popped it over
Sparrow. UAA scored their last goal at 17:06 when Randy Muise slapped the
puck from the left side to score his second for the season.

Well, UAA has gotten off to a fairly good start this season going 3-1
against two established power teams. They responded and adjusted well
to their loss on Friday. Their defense (despite Friday's score) is looking
very good, and was exceptional tonight. Penalty killing for both
teams was outstanding, though power play still needs a bit of work. The
Seawolves wont have their sellout crowd (4 for 4 this year) on the road
next week, but I think that they'll do just fine. Lastly, Sean Gravistin,
who has played behind Paul [the Wall] Krake for the last three years is
off to a great start, which is a comfort considering 6 of his 8 defensemen
are new this year.
