University of Maine freshmen linemates Peter Ferraro and Paul Kariya
earned Hockey East honors this week as Ferraro was named the league's
Player of the Week and Kariya was the Co-Rookie of the Week.
 
Ferraro, a center, had two goals and two assists in Maine's 9-3 Friday
night win over Providence and had two assists in Saturday night's 3-3
tie with the Friars.
 
Kariya, a left winger, had a goal and an assist in Friday's game and a
pair of goals on Saturday.  Kariya shared his honor with Merrimack
College right winger Ryan Mailhiot.
