The Penn State Icers opened their season on the road Sunday afternoon,
defeating the Erie College Icekats 3-0.  Erie goalie Mike Chase made 53 saves
in the loss, while Icer netminder John Gray picked up his 8th career shutout.

The Icers' home opener is this Friday, Oct. 30 at 9:00 PM as they face former
ICHL rival U. of Buffalo  Thundering Herd.  The two teams will also face off
on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3:30 PM.  I will post whatever results I can  from
thse games.  I'll hopefully be out of town, and in Potsdam, NY for Alumni
Weekend at Clarkson and the Golden Knights home opener Saturday against the
New Hampshire Wildcats.
